2010 Education Days Reaches 76 Techs
2010 CABA Education Days wrapped up April 10 at MontgomeryCollege (Rockville, MD) with Dan Marinucci’s advanced tech session covering Nissan Driveability. The Winter training season began January 30 at the Community College of Baltimore County (Catonsville, MD) and swung through Salisbury, MD with a total of 15 class sessions over the 10 weeks.
CABA spent nearly $50,000 to organize and present 2010 Education Days. Generous support from the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers (AASP) in the form of an educational grant helped make the program possible and able to attract world-class technical instructors like Marinucci, Scaler, Ruiz, Van Batenburg, Solomon and Fischelli.
Seventy-six technicians from 43 different independent auto service companies attended at least one of the 15 sessions in the 3 classroom locations. Six among the 76 techs actually attended multiple sessions, some driving more than 100 miles to take advantage of the rare local presentations by these acclaimed instructors.
CABA has already begun collecting requests from technicians and shop owners for valuable and needed topics that should form the core of the 2011 Education Days program. Ideas can be submitted from the CONTACT form on the association’s website at www.caba.biz.
